Chairman Wontumi Knows He Is Guilty – Asiedu Nketia

National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has alleged that New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, is fully aware of his alleged wrongdoing.
Speaking during a public engagement, Asiedu Nketia claimed Wontumi’s recent actions and public statements suggest that he knows he has questions to answer regarding the allegations levelled against him.
“Chairman Wontumi even knows that he is guilty,” the NDC Chairman stated, insisting that the law should be allowed to take its course without political interference.
Asiedu Nketia further argued that attempts to portray investigations involving Wontumi as politically motivated are misplaced, maintaining that state institutions must be allowed to carry out their work independently.
His remarks come amid ongoing public and political discussions surrounding investigations involving the NPP regional chairman, with supporters of both the NDC and NPP expressing differing views on the matter.
The comments are expected to further heighten political tensions as both major parties continue to trade accusations ahead of future political activities.
Chairman Wontumi has previously denied any wrongdoing and has maintained that he is prepared to cooperate with the relevant authorities while defending his innocence.
