NDC on Alert; Electoral Commission Yet to Announce Results in Ablekuma North

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) members are closely observing the situation as the announcement of results for the Ablekuma North Constituency election faces delays.

According to reports, tension has risen due to concerns about the transparency and credibility of the process. Party officials have called for calm while awaiting the Electoral Commission’s official declaration.

The members said their candidate, Ewurabena Aubynn, has won in the December 7, 2024, parliamentary elections, and they are demanding an official declaration of the results.

Members clad in black, the protesters grouped at the forecourt of the Kwashieman Chiefs Palace, using the vigil as a sign to voice their frustrations with the electoral process.

The protest was triggered by the suspension of the collation process on January 17, 2025.
