Former Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region, Yaw Owusu Obimpeh, has won the Council of State election.
The Council of State election in the Ashanti Region saw 85 of 86 expected votes cast.
Yaw Owusu Obimpeh secured victory with 49 votes, ahead of Nkansah Boadu Nana Ayeboafo’s 35.
Daniel Anarfi Yamoah had only one vote, with no spoilt ballot.
