Governs Kwame Agbodza, the Ministry of Roads and Highways, has announced the reintroduction of road tolls.
A statement from the ministry said the move is to help generate revenue for maintenance and related matters.
Although a specific date was not announced for the commencement of the collection, the Ministry said modalities for a modern, technology-driven toll are being put together.
It added that the new toll system will address the current challenges with road tolling and road maintenance funding in the country.
It is assured of following the required procurement processes to ensure that value for money is achieved.
