A Founding Member of the New Patriotic Party, Dr Nyaho-Nyaho Tamakloe says Mr Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen has been stabbed in the back by the New Patriotic Party and the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo.
The statesman, Dr Nyaho-Nyaho Tamakloe who spoke on New Day, on TV3 said he did not see that coming.
“The sad thing is that Alan has been stabbed in the back by the NPP and my friend Nana Akufo-Addo and that is very sad because when I look at those who want to be President of the Country at the moment, he is the only one who stands tall amongst them. He is the only one I can say has got the democratic credentials, he is the only one I believe strongly a lot of people if he intends running as an independent candidate would definitely like to crown him.”
Nyaho-Nyaho Tamekloe cried that the NPP has been destroyed and reduced to nothing by the newbies who do nothing but fight for the wrong cause.
“Why do I say the party has been destroyed, we have a lot of new faces in the party, who only come on airwaves to defend the indefensible. It is very disheartening. This party has always got a succession plan, and that brings the point Alan being stabbed in the back and it is unfortunate that is been done by my friend Nana Akufo-Addo”
Dr. Nyaho-Nyaho Tamekloe without a shred of doubt said “Alan leaving the race at this time has weakened the democratic pillars of the party and if we are not careful the party will be totally destroyed and if we are not careful, we will find ourselves back in the 1978/79” he concluded.
Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, one of the flagbearer hopefuls of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), withdrew from the November 4 race of the NPP.
In a statement dated September 5, 2023. Mr. Kyerematen who placed third in the party’s August 26 special delegates conference cited intimidation and a deliberate attempt to steer votes in favour of one candidate.
“The level of intimidation of varying intensity, directly and indirectly, unleashed on a significant number of Delegates at various Voting Centers across the sixteen regions, is unprecedented in the history of our Party.” The statement read
