Keta MCE Seeks 50 Acres for Proposed School of Pharmacy, Appeals to Anlo Afiadenyigba Chiefs

The Keta Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Wisdom Seade, has announced that about 50 acres of land will be required for the construction of a proposed School of Pharmacy in the municipality.

Speaking on the initiative, Hon. Seade appealed to the chiefs and people of Anlo Afiadenyigba to support the project by making land available. He said the establishment of the school would expand access to tertiary health education, create opportunities for local students, and strengthen healthcare delivery in the area.

According to the MCE, the facility is envisioned as a modern training institution equipped to produce qualified pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists to serve both the municipality and the wider region. He noted that the project aligns with ongoing efforts to improve health infrastructure and human resource capacity in Keta.

Traditional authorities and residents are expected to deliberate on the request as discussions advance. Municipal officials said securing the land is a critical first step before engaging partners and relevant agencies to move the project forward.
