On Friday, October 28, 2022, Ghanaian singer Kwabena Kwabena gave a performance at the Ebony Condoms launch.
Kwabena Kwabena sang love songs from his catalog during the show, which took place at the Fantasy Dome in Accra.
Maya Blu, a new musician signed to the Lynx Entertainment record company, also gave a performance.The goal of the new product, according to Total Family Health Organisation (TFHO), the company that makes Ebony Condoms, is to combat STIs and unplanned births.TFHO’s Executive Director, Joseph Addo-Yobo, said during the unveiling that their product is the only condom in sub-Saharan Africa that comes bundled with lubricants.
According to him, Ebony Plus is the first condom brand to include three condom sachets in its pack together with three sachets of lubricants, allowing each condom to be used in conjunction with a lubricant.The Health Systems Strengthening Contribute for USAID/Ghana, Elizabeth Williams, stated in her remarks that “poor usage of modern contraceptive techniques lead to unintended pregnancies, unsafe abortions, and increased overall maternal mortality.”She continued by saying that USAID had promised to collaborate with the Ghanaian government and the commercial sector to make contraceptive alternatives accessible.
They are available in four flavours: vanilla, strawberry, peppermint, and chocolate.
The manufacturer of Ebony condoms, Total Family Health Organisation, is a native Ghanaian non-profit social marketing organization that has been properly registered in compliance with Ghanaian legislation.
