I miss my “daddy” John Mahama – Mzbel opens up on her past relationship with former president

Ghanaian celebrated Hiplife and Highlife artiste, Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, popularly known as Mzbel has expressed that she misses her “daddy” former President John Dramani Mahama.

This caused a brief emotional outburst since Ghanaians are aware of the “confusing” relationship between Mzbel and President Mahama.

The ’16 Years’ hitmaker admitted that she misses John Mahama but hasn’t tried to contact him during an interview with Caleb Nii Boye on Showbiz 92.7.

He may have changed his phone number, according to Mzbel.

“Because if he wants me to have his number, he will let me have his number, I don’t have to chase for it”, she exclaimed after being asked why she has not tried retrieving his number from others.

The 43-year-old singer acknowledged that events that occurred three years ago shattered their bond.

The “Asibolanga” singer stated that since she is currently safe from drama and attacks, there is no need to make amends.

Mzbel adamantly asserted that despite the earlier uproar, she continues to support and be a member of the National Democratic Congress.

Beyond her musical prowess, Mzbel has ventured into the corporate world, standing as the CEO of Mzbel Music, Bel Group, and Bel Eye Media.

Her versatile talents have extended to the realm of media and cinema, having graced both domains.

Notably, she holds the esteemed position of a global ambassador for individuals with disabilities.

Since her breakthrough in 2006, Mzbel has gifted Ghanaians with an array of chart-topping melodies, including hits like “16 Years,” “Awoso Me,” “E Dey Bee,” “Asibolanga,” and “Saucy Girl.”

Her musical journey has been marked by notable collaborations with esteemed artists, including the late Castro, Debbie, Screw Face, and Quata.

As the years unfold, Mzbel remains a luminous star in Ghana’s artistic landscape.

Her resilience, both in her craft and in navigating the complex terrains of relationships and politics, continues to make her a compelling and enduring figure on the nation’s stage.
