Wisdom Bondieu Seade Secures Land for UHAS Pharmacy School and Development Projects

Keta MCE Hon. Wisdom Seade says traditional authorities across the municipality have released 50 acres of land for development projects, including schools and a workers’ estate.

Speaking on land acquisition for government projects, Hon. Seade said the response from traditional areas had been overwhelming since he engaged them directly.

“The 50 acres of land I requested — all the traditional areas are now calling me. They say, ‘We want the school in this area.’ I told them this is your opportunity: give me the land, and we’ll bring you the school,” he said.

He disclosed that he has secured four parcels of 50 acres each. While some will be used for schools, others will be allocated to projects such as a planned workers’ estate.

“We have promised to build a workers’ estate and other projects. So even if we don’t put a school on a particular parcel, we can use it for something else,” he explained.

Hon. Seade added that the willingness of chiefs and communities to release land showed a shift in attitude toward development.

“So to say we have a problem with land is not true. I can see that everybody is ready for change, they’re ready for development,” he said.

The land acquisitions are expected to support the municipality’s ongoing push to expand educational infrastructure and housing projects under the government’s broader development agenda.
