Officers of Special Prosecutor search the home of Cecilia Dapaah
Officers from the office of the special prosecutor are in the home of the former minister of Sanitation and Water Resources. This is standard process in investigations relating to corruption and corruption related activities.
In the company of the special prosecutor’s men are Madam Cecilia Dapaah and her husband.
Madam Cecilia Dapaah was arrested earlier in the day following pressure from the public on the OSP to investigate millions of hard cash found in her home.
More than 200 official complaints was sent to the office of the special prosecutor. The complaints were in written, phone calls and email format, sent to the Special Prosecutor to investigate and ascertain if the money were legitimately earned and appropriate tax paid on it.
It is unclear what would be uncovered as a year has already passed since the millions were stolen by the minister’s house-help.
