Yemi Alade, a celebrated singer from Nigeria, has talked candidly about the pressure her family and friends put on her to get married.
The “Johnny” hitmaker revealed that she is under constant pressure from friends and family to get married and start a family, and she expressed her frustration with the questions that keep coming up regarding her marital status.
The well-known singer-actress made her relationship status clear by stating,”People often get married, especially towards the end of every year. I’m not feeling pressured. When the time is right, it will happen.”
Yemi Alade stated, “Resisting family pressure to get married is difficult for me because it comes from people I look up to and respect.
Finding the right partner is more important than getting married, so I think if they truly have my best interests at heart, they will be patient with me.
Beyond that, though, I don’t believe anyone should hastily choose the incorrect partner,” she continued.
