KK Fosu marks 25 years in music

KK Fosu marked his 25th anniversary in the music industry with a heartwarming concert at the Bayview Hotel, Accra.

Music enthusiasts of Highlife music gathered to honour the musician, whose career has been defined by timeless hits and an enduring legacy.

The night began with a grand entrance of KK Fosu led onto the stage by Reggie Rockstone, the “Godfather of Hiplife.” 

The two legends reminisced about their collaboration on the award-winning song “Fa Me Bone Kye Me,” sharing stories of how they created the hit that still resonates with fans.

KK Fosu, dressed in an elegant blend of traditional and modern Ghanaian attire, performed some of his hits such as “Anadwo Yede,” “Odo Nti,” and “6 O’clock.” The crowd sang along, reliving the magic of his music yesteryears.

Midway through his performance, KK Fosu invited legendary Highlife artiste Pat Thomas to join him on stage.

Together, they delivered a breathtaking rendition of their hit song “Odo De Da Me.” Pat Thomas, known as the “Golden Voice of Africa,” mesmerised the audience with his impeccable vocals, creating a memorable moment for patrons.

The event was graced by several notable personalities, including Pappy Kojo, who joined the celebration and shared in the joy of the evening. Other celebrities such as legendary musician Bessa Simons, Abeiku Santana, and Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay, also attended, adding star power to the night.
