JOBerg Ghana gives GHS 2.25 million support to GETFund for School Project in Afife

JOBerg Ghana Limited has donated GHS 2.25 million to the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) to support the construction of a six-unit classroom block and a six-seater toilet facility for the Afife R/C Primary School in the Ketu North Constituency.

The donation, led by Mr Joseph Magnus Marteye, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, is expected to significantly improve teaching and learning conditions in the school by addressing infrastructure and sanitation challenges.

The project is being executed under GETFund’s Education Finance and Partnership Initiative, a framework designed to promote structured and transparent private sector support for public education infrastructure, led by Mr Paul Adjei, GETFund Administrator.

Mr Eric Edem Agbana, Member of Parliament of Ketu North, commended both GETFund and JOBerg Ghana Limited for the partnership, describing the intervention as a major boost for education in the constituency.

He disclosed that the donation follows engagements he had with the company’s CEO last year, during which a commitment was made to support development in the area.

Mr Agbana noted that attracting such investments requires persistence, strategic advocacy, and continuous engagement with stakeholders.

He reaffirmed his commitment to seeking development opportunities for the constituency, despite challenges often encountered in the process.

The project is expected to ease classroom congestion and improve sanitation at Afife R/C Primary School, ultimately creating a more conducive learning environment for pupils.
