“I’m the only artist in Ghana who has been able to charge $100,000 per show”- Shatta Wale

Shatta Wale, the self-proclaimed king of dancehall, asserts that he is the first musician in Ghana to have demanded $100,000 each performance.

In an interview with Giovani Caleb that aired yesterday night on Showbiz 360 on TV3, Shatta Wale made this statement. He claimed that he charged and received $100,000 in cash for performing three distinct acts each.

The performer disclosed that he received such a sum at the first Afronations festival, which was held in Ghana, and that he subsequently received another $120,000 for a performance at the ‘Wonderland’ venue.

He added that he charged Cardi B $100,000 for an event in Ghana that was hosted by her, but he didn’t show up to play since the terms of the contract he agreed to and signed prior to the event were broken; as a result, he didn’t make it to the show.

The “GOG” album by Shatta Wale has been in production and is scheduled for release on October 17, 2022.

Despite all the controversies surrounding the album, many of the artist’s followers are eagerly awaiting the much-anticipated “GOG” album.
