Home Based Artists Not Willing To Collaborate With Us – Jay Hover Says

Ghanaian-US based musician, James Charles Tetteh popularly known as Jay Hover has bemoaned of how a lot of musicians based in Ghana are not williing to collaborate with Ghanaian musicians in the diaspora.

According to the “Give Me Love” hitmaker in an interview with Accra-based Online News Platform, several A List artists have rejected proposal of US based artists to collaborate with them.

“This happened to me in 2019, my management contacted an artist I don’t want to mention and immediately he heard I was based in the US, he refused the collaboration even though my management went all out to pay his requested fee”.

“This is sad, such behaviour will only bring the music industry backward. We are all Ghanaians and pushing the name of our beloved country to the world, we need to support each other,” the Massachusetts based artist added.

Jay Hover who recently twitter thanking Kaywa for signing him to his label and pushing his music was signed to Kaywa’s Highly Spiritual Music in 2019 and currently promoting his new song ‘“Case”. A song which features top tik tok stars carries a solid message to all haters, naysayers, enemies and frenemies who seek the downfall of others.

Jay Hover over the years have released several singles including: Fear No Evil, Kokoni, Doezovoort, Roses Are Red, Ayele and more.
