At the swearing-in ceremony of Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson as Finance Minister, President John Dramani Mahama stressed the high expectations Ghanaians have for the new leadership in the Finance Ministry. The President specifically called on Dr. Forson to focus on stabilising the cedi, reducing inflation, and ensuring sustainable public debt levels.
Held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the seat of government in Accra, the ceremony saw Dr. Forson among six new ministers appointed to President Mahama’s government. Other ministers sworn in include Haruna Iddrisu (Education), John Jinapor (Energy and Green Transition), Dr. Dominic Ayine (Attorney General and Minister for Justice), Governs Kwame Agbodza (Roads and Highways), and Eric Opoku (Food and Agriculture).
