Mahama swears in Ato Forson, Haruna Iddrisu, four other Ministers
President John Mahama has sworn into office six of his ministers to kickstart their roles in key positions to ensure the smooth running of his administration.
This was at a colorful ceremony held at the Jubilee House on Wednesday.
They include Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, Dr. Dominic Ayine as Attorney General, and John Jinapor as Minister for Energy and Green Transition.
The rest are Haruna Iddrisu as Minister for Education, Eric Opoku as Minister for Food and Agriculture, and Governs Kwame Agbodza as Minister for Roads and Highways.
The swearing-in follows their vetting by the Appointments Committee.
A report was subsequently submitted to the plenary for deliberations on their nomination and approval by Parliament on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
President Mahama asked them to effectively discharge their responsibilities to the Ghanaian people, reiterating that it cannot be business as usual.
He also expressed confidence in their abilities to deliver on their mandates, stressing the critical nature of their portfolios in driving national development.
Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, who spoke on behalf of his colleagues, expressed gratitude to the president for the honor.
He pledged their commitment to serve to achieve the reset agenda and also make Mr. Mahama the best president in the world.
