Mahama told to end attacks on Free SHS beneficiaries
Communications Lead for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign, Dennis Miracles Aboagye has urged the former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama to stop attacking beneficiaries of Free SHS.
The former President of Ghana believes that the country is producing half-baked graduates from the various Senior High Schools in Ghana.
To John Dramani Mahama is results from the various schools are not a true reflection of the state of the country’s education sector as students are made to cheat during examinations.
“In many places, they let the children cheat. You go to places and the teachers are conniving with the students to cheat. The effect will be seen later,” Mr. Mahama said.
The former President, who is on the “Building Ghana Tour”, believes the development will have dire consequences on the country’s educational system in future.
“You certify these children saying they are of this standard either the BECE or SSCE, and that child will use that certificate, go abroad to a school and they will find out that your qualification is not up to the standard you say it is”.
But addressing the press on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, Dennis Miracles Aboagye urged the former President to desist from attacking these young beneficiaries of the well-thought-through Free SHS policy.
“Mahama should cease the attacks on the beneficiaries of the Free Senior High Schools because clearly they cannot be blamed for his failure as president neither can the two times he was rejected by the people of Ghana be blamed on these Free Senior High School beneficiaries. It is important that from today onwards we see a complete seizure from the former president in the manner he goes about attacking beneficiaries of the free senior high school.”
