I will support NDC in the next elections – KOD reveals
Kofi Okyere Darko, also known as KOD, a broadcaster, has stated his profound dissatisfaction with the Akufo-Addo administration.
KOD, who had previously backed the NPP, has said that he will back the NDC in the election of 2024.
In the 2020 general elections, he backed the New Patriotic Party (NPP), but he claimed that he would not support the party again because of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s bad leadership.
The Ghanaian broadcaster bemoaned the status of the country’s economy and felt that things may have been different than they are now.
On September 13, 2023, Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) said that the Akufo-Addo administration had horribly failed the country in an interview with JoyPrime.
He continued by saying that he would not vote for the NDC in the general elections in 2024.
“It [Akufo-Addo’s administration] could have been better. This is supposed to be our best time in Ghana and it is one of the reasons why I supported his campaign in 2020. I don’t think he has done well,” he said.
He further stated “In the next election, I won’t vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) but would rather do so for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).”
His statement came in response to questions from Ghanaians on whether he was impressed or not with the Akufo-Addo-led administration.
During the 2020 general elections, Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), a fervent supporter of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, actively campaigned for the party.
