“What if this audio is a ploy to keep him at post to help NPP rig the election” Ghanaians react to ‘fake audio’ Plot against IGP

The NPP’s attempt to break the 8 does not look possible according to several polls in Ghana and abroad. A defeat awaits the NPP in the 2024 general elections

Polls by Global info Analytics reveal that regardless of who wins the November Flagbearer race of the NPP, be it Allan or Bawumia, NDC’s John Mahama would win.

This ‘audio plot’ is coming barely 24 hours after captain smart broke the news that GH¢600,000 was to be given to voters in Assin North constituency.

The audio contained the voice of NPP Chairman for Akim Oda

The NPP is aware of the realities on the ground and is trying everything possible to stay in power even if it means using state institutions like the Electoral commission and the Ghana Police Service, led by the IGP to cheat.

Earlier reports took people by surprise but that quickly disappeared and gave way to common sense reasoning as many Ghanaians online began to question the motive behind the audio.

Many like @receiptsguy believe it is orchestrated by the government and the IGP to rig the elections

1. Record a choreographed audio

2. Create an atmosphere of mistrust between the government and IGP

3. President comes out to say he 100% trusts the IGP to deliver

4. They go on with their rigging plans only now, they make it look like a part of their puzzle isn’t compromised

There are several discerning Ghanaians who are filled with doubts and have questioned the credibility of the tape. @trunene is one

Looks like many Ghanaians didn’t fall for the purported audio and consider it ‘fake and staged’.

Several reasons account for the doubts;

It has never been mentioned anywhere that the IGP is NDC or has any connection with the NDC, in fact it is quite the opposite, it is strange that a purported tape, claiming to be a ploy to get the IGP out because the NPP wants to rig the elections would leak at this time.

“what if this audio is a ploy to keep him at post to help them rig it, to make people think he’s actually a good person”

“It may also be a plot to keep him to rig the elections…. When removed , Ghanaians will make noise and therfore demand his stay in office. The man then takes up the bidding rather” @adjo1wellington also wrote.

Whether the audio is fake or not Ghanians should remain alert and ensure the government does not rig the 2024 elections to subvert the will of the people.
