We’ll reduce NPP votes in Volta Region – Mahama
Flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, strongly believes that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) cannot win its target of 300,000 votes in the Volta Region.
He describes the target as a pipped dream by the political party, insisting that their votes from the previous elections will be drastically reduced.
“NPP got about 100,000 votes and we got 800,000 votes in the Volta region so we need to decrease their votes…It is a pipe dream, I don’t think NPP can get 300,000 in the Volta Region. Mark my words, they can’t get 300,000 in the region.
Volta Region knows it’s the NDC that stands for them. Everything, Regional hospital, University of Health and Allied Sciences, Electrification, Kpando Water and everything was provided during NDC time and we have very good plans for Volta and Oti,” he said in an interview with TV3.
The former President indicated that the NDC intends to do one of the specialized agric zones in Volta and Oti considering how lush the vegetation is indicating that tourism and agriculture will flourish.
