Users of iPhone 11 and Android smartphones: WhatsApp will stop operating on certain devices
The use of WhatsApp on various smartphones is about to undergo a new revolution, as the software will become outdated on some devices.
Users of WhatsApp have been urged to update their operating systems to the latest version or risk being disconnected, according to information we found on Legit. Those who still have an iPhone 5 or iPhone 5C in 2022 will be affected.
WABeta Info says, WhatsApp will stop working on iOS 10 and iOS 11 smartphones on October 24, 2022.
According to an article on the WhatsApp Help Center, it will only support iOS 12 and higher. Android users will also require Android 4.1 or higher to install the update. There are currently a small number of IOS users worldwide, but WhatsApp is aware of the actual number, according to the article. Because the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C were released in September 2013, WhatsApp support will be phased down shortly after its ninth anniversary.
It is expected that the new iOS 16 may not bring massive visual changes, but Apple will change the characteristics of certain system settings and applications.
The iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and the original iPhone SE will no longer be supported by Apple. It is not known if the current features of WhatsApp are available on iPhone 5C or iPhone 5. In a recent update, WhatsApp enabled reaction messages like the ones available on Facebook. The latest update being touted for WhatsApp says groups with support for up to 512 people.
