Unwarranted Assault on Committee Clerk Damages Minority’s Credibility – Kwakye Ofosu

Minister of State for Government Communication, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has slammed the Minority for what he calls an unjustified attack on Mrs. Gifty Jiagge-Gobah, the clerk of the Appointments Committee, labeling it a stain on their conduct.
The Minority accused the clerk of being biased in favor of the Majority, claiming she fails to consult them before publishing vetting schedules. They even called for her resignation, suggesting she work for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) instead.
Speaking on The Point of View on Channel One TV on Monday, Kwakye Ofosu said the attack was uncalled for and criticized the Minority’s inconsistent participation in committee activities.
“This attack on the clerk was unnecessary. It tarnishes their image. On top of that, their inconsistency—one day they’re part of the committee, the next day they’re not—only weakens their position,” he added.
