Twitter Suspends Medikal Permanently For Impersonating President Akufo-Addo

Twitter has suspended Ghanaian singer Medikal for pretending to be President Akufo-Addo.

Elon Musk warned that any Twitter handle that uses impersonation without making it obvious that it’s a parody account will be permanently suspended after completing the takeover of Twitter.

The fact that Medikal changed his Twitter handle to Mr. President yesterday night and used President Akufo-image Addo’s as his profile picture suggests that this message did not reach him.

His account was promptly suspended when other Ghanaian Twitter users reported it to the social media platform.

Since some Twitter users, even in the USA, tried this annoying drug a few weeks ago, Medikal is not the only verified account on Twitter that has been suspended for impersonation.
