Thomas Tsekpo Refutes Claims of NDC Members Storming Amewu’s Residence

Thomas Worlanyo, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Hohoe parliamentary candidate, has strongly denied allegations that NDC members stormed the residence of Peter Amewu with guns.

Reports circulating on social media suggested that a group of armed men linked to the opposition NDC attacked the home of the Railway Development Minister and Hohoe MP, but Worlanyo has dismissed these claims as false and politically motivated.

In a press statement, Worlanyo refuted the allegations, emphasizing that the NDC is a law-abiding party that does not engage in violence. He accused political opponents of spreading misinformation to tarnish the party’s reputation ahead of the upcoming elections.

The Ghana Police Service has also launched an investigation into the alleged attack, urging the public to remain calm while security agencies verify the facts. Meanwhile, residents of Hohoe have expressed concern over rising security threats in the area and have called for increased police presence.

As tensions rise, political analysts warn against the spread of false claims that could incite violence. Worlanyo has urged supporters to remain peaceful and focus on issue-based politics rather than engaging in unnecessary conflicts.
