NPP Made More Money Than Any Other Government; What Did They Do With It? – Shamima Muslim

Shamima Muslim, the deputy presidential spokesperson, has expressed dissatisfaction about the way the previous government handled Ghana’s finances and questioned how the New Patriotic Party (NPP) made use of the huge revenue it received while in office.
In an interview on GTV’s Breakfast Show, she argued that despite receiving more funds than any other government in the country’s history, there is little to show for it.
“We need to remind the New Patriotic Party of their poor management of the economy. How much revenue did you receive during your tenure?
“Today, we are all in agreement that the NPP received more revenue than all governments from independence to the Fourth Republic combined. What did you use those revenues for?
“What are the tangibles that we see today in Ghana that justify those colossal amounts of money?” she asked.
She named Agenda 111, One District, One Factory, the National Cathedral, and road infrastructure.
“Were you able to complete and operate your major projects? One District, One Factory? One constituency, one million dollars? The Cathedral project? The Pwalugu Dam?
“What did you do with that amount of money? Because Ghanaians were watching, they were feeling, they were expressing,” she said
