John Mahama to introduce tax breaks for 24-hour manufacturers

Former President John Dramani Mahama has pledged his unflinching support and loyalty to introduce a robust 24-hour economy with incentives and tax breaks for manufacturers who will run extra shifts to create more room for employment.

In a statement to mark the International Youth Day, the former President and the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), promised to equip the youth of the country with necessary tools and skills to create a thriving economy, targeting agriculture and Information Technology as the driving force.

“Our youth have been key agents of change and development throughout our nation’s history. To ensure a brighter future, we must empower a generation of skilled youth, create decent jobs, and support the youth to transform our country, Africa, and the world. “Part of the statement reads.

Acknowledging the rise in unemployment, high cost of living and lack of opportunities in the country, John Mahama is eager to “work to ease the burden of taxes imposed by this NPP administration on Ghanaian businesses and investors, which has robbed Ghana of its envious position as one of Africa’s leading destinations for investment.”
