I’ll vote for any party that lifts the ban on alcohol advertisement by celebs – Wendy Shay

Wendy Shay is still not happy with the ban on celebrities from advertising for alcoholic beverages and betting companies.

The afrobeat artiste is back on social media to complain about the ban which, she has always claimed, has caused a lot of celebrities to lose their source of livelihood.

In a tweet, she noted that any political party that revises that law to favour the celebrities would have her vote.

“Musicians are not supposed to be poor. But in this country, if God does not step in you’ll die poor. Now we can’t even get Alcohol and Betting companies to sponsor our shows.”

Not long ago, the Food and Drugs Authority and the Gaming Commission of Ghana reiterated their rules that bar celebrities from plugging their services.

A lot of celebrities have kicked against this law and have pleaded with powers that be to reconsider their stance.
