Authorities say a 26-year-old woman was arrested after she is accused of murdering one person and wounding 12 others on Friday when she allegedly crashed into a taco shop.
According to the Pomona Police Department, the accused motorist was driving eastbound when she lost control and veered into the westbound lane, colliding with a crowd of customers at the taco shop.
According to officials, three of the 12 injured victims are in critical condition.
Law enforcement said that when the alleged driver left the scene, they looked for her for more than an hour.
According to reports, the motorist went back to the scene and handed herself up. She was taken to the Pomona City Jail for booking.
The defendant was accused by police of vehicular manslaughter, willful misconduct, and hit-and-run.
