Black Sherif drops out of university after music breakthrough

Nothing comes easy in life, especially in the music industry, which involves a lot of compromises and sacrifices for artists to achieve their goals.

Things are just beginning for 20-year-old singer, Mohammed Ismail Sherif aka Black Sherif, who is still trying to get to terms with his 2021 mega breakthrough hit song, Second Sermon, and subsequent hits which have catapulted him to superstardom in the Ghanaian music scene.

Black Sherif has opened up about his university education at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) where he was pursuing a 4-year bachelor’s degree.

Replying to a question posed by a fan on social media, Blacko revealed that he is no longer a student of UPSA and that has enrolled in another institution.

He explained that he officially withdrew from the university because he felt left behind with the academic work.

Born in Konongo in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, Black Sherif completed Kumasi Academy in 2019 before entering the University of Professional Studies, Accra.
