Princess Akua Ohenewaa Asieanem, aka Stephanie Benson, the Ghanaian international vocalist residing in the UK, has been hospitalised after a failed operation.
A statement from her says an error occurred while she was undergoing a normal procedure.
It added that the singer has not been interacting with her fans online as she is known for because she is currently undergoing treatment as a result of the medical error.
“Sorry I haven’t been online. A routine op turned bad. Unfortunately, doctors make surgical errors, we have to live with them so still in the hospital. Sending you Soo much love,” she posted.
Since then, internet users have been wishing Stephanie Benson a swift recovery and encouraging Jon and the family to be strong.
Not long ago, the musician sent her admirers a letter outlining the risks of cosmetic surgery, in particular Brazilian Butt Lifts (BBL).
Her letter was in reaction to the social media virality of the story of a Nigerian woman who died following botched cosmetic surgery treatment.
