Music superstar, Rihanna, has announced plans to come to Ghana to launch her luxury beauty product, Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin.
In a twitter post, Riri named Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe as the first African countries where her products will be launched in.
“I’ve been waiting for this moment and that’s just the beginning “, she added.
Fenty is the surname of Rihanna, who was born on the Caribbean island of Barbados on February 29, 1988.
Leveraging on her status as one of the biggest global music icons, she partnered with luxury goods conglomerate LVMH in 2017 to launch Fenty.
Market-analyst firm, Mordor intelligence, predicts that the beauty and personal care products market in Africa and the Middle East will expand at a compound annual growth rate of 3.1% over the next 5 years.
Rihanna’s move is thus seen as a smart business decision to boost its global reach and make an impact in the fast-growing African market.
