Pastor Jesus Ahuofe granted bail while Shatta Wale stays locked up

Bishop Stephen Kwesi Appiah, aka ‘Jesus Ahuofe’, who was arrested for predicting the death of dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, has been granted bail.

The preacher, who was arrested on October 19, 2021, pleaded not guilty to the charge of causing fear and panic.

However, Shatta Wale is still on remand at Ankaful Prison, in the Central Region.

Jesus Ahoufe had stated in an interview on Accra FM in September 2021, that the dancehall artiste will be killed in a gun attack on October 18, 2021, if he does not seek spiritual intervention.

The pastor indicated that the popular musician will die as a result of the attack if the ‘prophesy’ is taken lightly.

Kwame Appiah-Kubi, Host of the Accra FM morning show, told Citi FM that the preacher was picked up at the premises of the media company where he was scheduled to attend an interview.

Mr. Appiah-Kubi said the police informed personnel of Class Media Group that no family member of the singer had made an official complaint to the Accra Regional Command.

Shatta Wale was subsequently picked up by the police for spreading false news.
