NPP Delegates in Volta Hold Annual Conference in Ho

The Volta Regional Chapter of the National Patriotic Party (NPP) have held their annual regional delegates conference in Ho to deliberate on issues that would cause promotion and development in the region and the country at large.

The conference which was attended by key National, Regional and Constituency Representatives is to accept concerns from the delegates about all issues which need to be resolved, and to also execute the code of conduct of the party.

Hon. Makafui Kofi Woanyah, Volta Regional Chairman of the NPP stated in his address that the party is set to move the region to a higher level in terms of development. This, he explained that it would need the involvement of every member so as to execute the said plans and agenda’s of the party.

“Let us be all guided by the rules and the supreme interest of the party. We cannot break the ‘eight’ in disunity and with indiscipline. Breaking the ‘eight’ requires united front and united action”. He stressed.
Mr. Woanyah therefore called for togetherness among all delegates in the region so as to work and achieve a common purpose.

Hon. Peter Amewu, Member of Parliament for Hohoe Constituency and Minister for Railway Development in his turn said it is prudent to cause a turnaround for the party in the region, adding that this can only happen if all delegates and other members are united.

He admonished that all rigours should cease among the delegates so as to uplift the integrity of the party.
Mr. Amewu indicated that the party cannot move forward if it’s members don’t give their maximum support to the Regional Chairman to manifest his plans.

Hon Peter Amewu however pledged his commitment to also play his part in seeing the party excel higher in terms of elections across the region.

Hon. John Boadu, National General Secretary of the NPP, lauded efforts of the Regional Chairman and his executive members and urged them to continue to do more for the region’s growth and development.
He indicated that all resolutions that have been passed at the conference, would be put into consideration at the National Annual Delegates  Conference.

Mr. Boadu also called on all Municipal and District Chief Executives to play their parts well to make the NPP, a party of choice in the region, stressing strongly that the government cannot be separated from the party, hence all the MDCEs should work without favour and serve every individual in their districts.

He said, the NPP will continue to work tirelessly and sustain it’s achievements in the region.
