NDC calls for an Independent audit of EC’s IT systems
The Electoral Commission must conduct an independent IT audit, according to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
This request follows the disclosure of certain missing voter registration kits via the NDC’s Eagle eye monitoring of the Electoral Commission.
The political party thinks that the only way to allay their concerns about the system is to conduct an independent audit of the commission’s IT systems.
Our trustworthy and unquestionable EAGLE EYE intelligence system intercepted a document from the Ghanaian Electoral Commission yesterday, in response to our thirty-five (35) concerns regarding the stolen biometric equipment that we had asked the Electoral Commission at IPAC.
In the memo, the Electoral Commission Regional Directors are asked to gather and report “all the challenges” related to the 2023 voter registration that would be used for the District Assembly elections.
It’s time to relocate! due to the numerous inconsistencies in the voter registration.
However the internal memo’s request does not eliminate or satisfy the necessity for an impartial, open audit of the EC’s IT system.
The Biometric Verification Registration (BVR) Kits’ missing components have made this audit necessary.
Regarding the absent EC BVR components, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, National Chairman of the NDC, declared: “We will call for an independent audit of the EC’s IT system.”
