National Economic Dialogue 2025 kicks off today

The much-anticipated National Economic Dialogue (NED) is set to commence today, March 3, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre.

This high-level forum, led by President John Dramani Mahama, seeks to address Ghana’s economic challenges and outline a sustainable path for long-term growth.

With the theme “Resetting Ghana: Building the Economy We Want Together,” President Mahama will deliver a keynote address, emphasizing his administration’s vision for economic revitalization. The dialogue aligns with his commitment to inclusive governance, ensuring that key stakeholders actively contribute to shaping Ghana’s economic policies.

Bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, academia, civil society organizations, and development partners, the two-day event will focus on critical areas such as:

  • Macroeconomic stability
  • Economic transformation
  • Infrastructure development
  • Structural reforms
  • Private sector-led growth
  • Good governance and anti-corruption measures

At a time when Ghana is grappling with economic pressures, the government aims to use this platform to build consensus on strategic reforms that will enhance business confidence, attract investment, and improve livelihoods. Discussions will result in concrete commitments and milestones to reset the economy and drive transformative change.

With expectations high, Ghanaians will be looking forward to policy recommendations that not only address immediate concerns but also set the stage for sustainable national development.
