Nana Yaa Brefo Reveals Ibrahim Mahama’s $115,000 Donation for Kofi Adoma’s Medical Treatment

Media personality Nana Yaa Brefo has finally disclosed updates on the health status of journalist Kofi Adoma, confirming that CEO of Dzata cement Ibrahim Mahama has fulfilled his promise by donating $115,000 for his eye surgery.
Her remarks come in response to growing speculation about whether Mahama had fulfilled his promise to support Adoma’s medical treatment.
Kofi Adoma has been receiving treatment in Dubai after suffering an eye injury caused by gunpowder while covering a funeral in Ghana.
Speaking on her radio show on Onua FM on February 21, 2025, Nana Yaa Brefo expressed frustration over doubts surrounding Mahama’s generosity.
“Why would you think he couldn’t fulfill his promise? He is one of the richest men in Ghana, with vast properties,” she stated.
She revealed that following the accident, Ibrahim Mahama personally reached out to offer financial support and ensured that the funds were made available for Adoma’s first surgery.
Addressing concerns over a GoFundMe campaign launched for additional assistance, Brefo explained that although Mahama’s donation was substantial, both of Adoma’s eyes were affected by the incident, and a second surgery is now required.
