Music wasn’t part of my plans – Gyakie
Ghanaian Afropop artiste Gyakie has revealed that throughout her childhood, she hardly dreamt of pursuing music as a career.
Gyakie mentioned on Joy FM that when she got into high school, heading into the university, she wanted to be an entrepreneur, she wanted to be a business mogul.
She said she never paid attention to how unique her voice was.
It was her mother who discovered her hidden talent and would eventually help her nurture it by getting her to sing and dance to entertain her friends.
Gyakie remains one of Ghana’s most promising talents, whose music has won the hearts of many across the world.
Her recent career achievement is a 30 million all-time play on Apple Music.
Gyakie, a daughter of highlife musician Nana Acheampong has songs like Forever, Need Me, Whine and Sika.
