Murdered 27 year old was due to travel to UK- Dad
The father of 27-year-old Victoria Dapaah also known as Maadwoa who was allegedly shot by her police man- boyfriend has told the media that her deceased daughter was due to travel to the United Kingdom before she met her untimely death.
At he time of the unfortunate incident, the father of the deceased was out of the country
“Her passport and everything was ready, and was about taking her to the United Kingdom, and unfortunately this happened, my dreams have been shattered”
Mr. Bruce however stressed that he has faith in the judicial system of the country and expect justice to be served.
The suspect, Inspector Ahmed Twumasi of the SWAT unit in the Ashanti Regional police command who earlier confessed to the crime pleaded not guilty during a committal proceedings.
The court presided over by his worship, Samuel Buaben Quansah committed the suspect to stand trial at the high court.
Aggrieved family and friends gave the court three months to convict the suspect.
“If there is delay in jailing the suspect and we see no action taken within four months, the court will hear from us.”
Tycoon as he is popularly known was stationed in Manhyia Palace among Palace security.
He allegedly shot his girlfriend 6 times according to police sources over cheating allegation.
The deceased, according to a close friend, became furious and broke up with Twumasi Ahmed, the police officer.
The police officer was said to have begged her to reconsider the decision to break up but the deceased (Maa Adwoa) refused.
While trying to reconcile with the lady without any sign of progress, the suspect then, allegedly, pulled a side arm and shot her several times until she died.
