Men in Military Uniform Raid Ofori-Atta’s Residence

Military-clad individuals stormed former finance minister Ofori-Atta’s residence on Tuesday afternoon. The incident took place at his home in Cantonments while Ofori-Atta was reportedly out of the country.
Ofori-Atta was reportedly not at home during the incident, as he has been in the United States on medical grounds since the beginning of 2025.
Channel One News sources confirmed that Ofori-Atta had notified the Chief of Staff about his medical leave before traveling.
During the raid, some family members, including his wife, were present at the residence.
What prompted the operation is still unclear. Channel One News learned that about 12 individuals—five wearing military uniforms, one in a police uniform, and the rest in plain clothes—carried out the raid. It’s uncertain if they seized anything from the house.
Authorities have so far remained silent, with no official statement on the incident.
