Mahama to better manage economy than Bawumia – GIA
From the July 2023 poll, there is evidence to suggest that NPP is unlikely to break the 8, that’s according to the global info analytics.
According to their July polls, 47% of Ghanaians say they trust John Mahama to best manage the current economic crisis.
21% of the voters said they trust Dr. Mahmoud Bawumia to manage the current economic crisis.
Things get worse for Dr. Bawumia, as majority of voters who voted for President Nana Akufo Addo in 2020 say they will not vote Dr. Bawumia if he is elected as the flag-bearer of the New Patriotic Party.
The poll shows that of the 58% who voted for President Akufo Addo in 2020, only 26% out of that 58% are willing to vote for Dr. Bawumia if the race is between him and John Mahama.
9% said they will not vote either and 8% said they will not vote at all.
“The data also shows that, even if Dr. Bawumia loses support among Nana Addo’s coalition, he still fails to attract enough support of those who did not vote in 2020 to compensate”
John Dramani Mahama leads with 49% of the votes compared to 20% for Dr. Mahmoud Bawumia.
For core John Mahama supporters who voted for him in 2020, 91% of the people say they will vote for him again in 2024.
Only 7% will cross carpet to vote for Dr. Mahmoud Bawumia
