Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu: NDC members behind Suame protest against me

Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, the MP for Suame, accuses opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) members of instigating workers and dealers in spare parts to boo him on Monday at Suame Magazine.

The irate teens were demonstrating over the slow-moving road repairs in the region, which they claim are harming businesses and endangering lives.

On Tuesday, July 19, Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu indicated during an appearance on The Asaase Breakfast Show that despite his reservations, the concerns of the craftsmen are valid and will be taken into consideration.

He stated, “By the side of the road, there is an NPP gang.” When the crowd arrived, they turned the elephant carving over and began to stamp on it. At that point, they began yelling “NPP away, Nana Addo away.”

Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu declared, “I am saying I mistrust them.

The contractor, Joshob Company Ltd, had returned to the road which the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs had gone to inspect on Monday (18 July), just days after some residents staged a protest over the bad nature of that stretch.

When the artisans learned of the MP’s approach, they became enraged, crowded the highway, began hooting, pelted him with water sachets, and chased him away.
