Ketu South: Two Arrested in Attempt to Sell Stolen Car

The Police in Ketu South has apprehended two young men who had arrived in Denu with a stolen taxi looking for prospective buyers.
According to reports, one of the Policemen arranged with the informant who feigned interest and agreed to meet them at a spot in Denu, leading to the arrest of two out of the three suspected criminals namely, Kata Kofi aged 33 from Lashibi/AR, and Jacob Ativor, 24 from Akatsi.

The third suspect whose name was only given as Jacob from Sakumono in Accra managed to escape arrest.
A Toyota Vitz with Registration number GC6659-21 was retrieved. The two suspects alleged that the taxi was stolen from its owner at Sakumono by the absconded Jacob who thereafter called on them to assist in the sale.

However, the two suspects who were arrested are in police custody assisting in an investigation.
