Member of Parliament elect for Assin North James Gyakye Quayson has been sworn into office officially as a lawmaker after last week’s by-election victory.
Speaker of Parliament, Aban Bagbin supervised the swearig in ceremony as the MP took the oath of allegiance ad oath of office on Tuesday morning.
The re-election of Mr. Gyakye Quayson became necessary after the Supreme court declared his election in 2020 as null and void.
The short ceremony was witnessed by the Flagbearer of the NDC and former President, John Dramani Mahama, the General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah and many other party big wigs ad memebers from the Assin North constituency.
