It’s not everything that God reveals to a Prophet – Vida Adutwumwaa

Ms Vida Adutwumwaa has addressed the tragic East Legon accident that claimed the lives of two teenagers, Maame Dwomoh Boateng and Justine Agbenu, on October 12, 2024, on UTV’s United Showbiz.

The incident, which sent shockwaves through the community, has sparked intense discussions, particularly regarding the role of Bishop Salifu Amoako, the father of Elrod Amoako, who was involved in the crash.

During the episode monitored by MyNewsGH.com, Vida responded to the wave of criticism directed at Bishop Salifu Amoako, who many believe should have foreseen the accident given his reputation as a spiritual leader.

“People are quick to judge the Bishop for not seeing this coming,” she said, addressing the audience with empathy. But let’s be real—it’s not everything that God reveals to a prophet. We need to cut him some slack.” She said

Vida’s comments came in the context of the intense scrutiny the Bishop has faced since the incident.

She emphasized that spiritual insight is not a guarantee and that prophets, like everyone else, can be blindsided by life’s unpredictability.

“Just look at what happened to his son Elrod,” she added, highlighting the tragic irony that the Bishop’s family was directly impacted by the very situation that has caused so much public outrage.

“It’s essential for us to remember that while prophets may have a connection to the divine, they are also human and can only see so much,” Vida noted, urging the audience to consider the emotional toll this tragedy has taken on the Amoako family.
