I started my musical career from a shrine – Enam
Enam KeteKu Angela, a sensational Ghanaian female vocalist better known by her stage name Enam, has claimed that the Yeweh Shrine in the Volta Region was where her goal of becoming a major music artist first began.
Enam, who has made a niche as a “Afro Spiritual” musician, invokes peaceful ancestral rhythms in her performances.
The singer claims that her musical journey began at the shrine, where, while singing with her great grandmothers as a young kid, her love for music grew stronger.
” My kind of genre of music is influenced by the “Hadzivodushis” (music goddess) of the Yeweh Shrine.
“I always feel I am meant for greatness because of my unique abilities and doing music makes me feel at ease,” she said.
When asked about her debut Extended Play (EP), Enam revealed “Wuieve” which was the title of the EP signified number twelve (12) in the Ewe language as she believes her birth mark of twelve toes was a reminder that she was destined for something great in the music industry.
