‘I don’t think I’m buried.’ – Gyakie responds to Blakk Rasta’s remark

Afrobeats singer, Gyakie, says she disagrees with Blakk Rasta‘s assertion that her career is on the decline.

Most fans, she claims, expect artists to continually produce songs that are as popular as their most hit songs. As a result, if this expectation isn’t reached, they assume the artist isn’t very good, she explained.

“I don’t think I’m buried as Blakk Rasta believes,” she continued.

“People have set their eyes on a certain goal, believing that if you can’t do better with your current song than you did with your prior hit, you’re not good enough.”

Her remarks follow broadcaster Blakk Rasta’s claims that Gyakie and Black Sherif’s careers are doomed.

Speaking in an interview with Blogger Attractive Mustapha, he said “where is Gyakie right now, are you still hearing about Gyakie, you are an entertainment writer look at the hype they gave to Gyakie and now she is nowhere to be found.”

However, Gyakie indicated in an interview on Hitz FM, Friday that she is not under any pressure to release a song that will perform better than her viral song ‘Forever.’

Gyakie’s first official single of 2022, “Something” is out now and available on all digital platforms. The song was produced by Prime Beatz.

The production’s rhythm is similar to that of popular Ghanaian jama songs, and if the song accomplishes anything, it will be relevant to everybody who hears it.

Since its inception, Gyakie has been signed to Flip The Music, a Ghanaian-owned record label run by Emmanuel “Mirror” Sedo. The Songbird has made an impression in the African music scene thanks to the label’s leadership, landing deals with Sony Music Entertainment West Africa/ RCA UK and Epic US and collaborating on songs with huge names like Diplo, Serge Ibaka, the Major League DJz, and others.
