A Communication’s team member of the New Patriotic Party says Gyakye Quayson is unqualified to run as a member of parliament for the Assin North constituency
Lawuratu Musah-Saaka is therefore demanding an apology from the National Democratic Congress for presenting an unqualified candidate like Gyakye Quayson to the people of Assin North.
“If you ask me, what the NDC should be doing now is apologizing to the people of Assin North, if anybody has done any injustice to the people of Assin North, it is the NDC, for bringing a candidate that they knew was not qualified to be a parliamentary candidate per our laws, maybe that was why their flagbearer said when he comes, he is going to review the laws on dual citizenship thinking that the ruling may have delayed for him to come”
The Communication team member of the NPP says the “ridiculous lies” churned out to the people of the Assin North by the NDC must vehemently be protested. She denied that the New Patriotic Party ever want to kick Qyakye Quayson out of parliament to sway numbers on their side to pass the LGBTQI+ bill.
“I’m telling you about the ridiculous lies the NDC is telling in the Assin North that we want their candidate out because we want to change the speaker of parliament, how ridiculous can you be, this is the same parliament with the speaker, with the numbers that we have approved budgets, this is the same parliament which approved ministers not long ago and also approved the chief Justice, so why the ridiculous lies?” she asked.
