“Ghanaians do not celebrate their legends, they want to see them out of the door” – Sarkodie

Rapper Sarkodie does not believe Ghanaian musical legends are celebrated as much as their contemporaries in other countries.

According to him, Ghanaians are quick to find fault with everything their legends do and to see them out of the door.

In an interview with One Play Africa, Sarkodie explained that, unlike Nigeria where the likes of Fela Kuti are regarded as legends, it is not the same in Ghana.

He continued that although he had enjoyed the support of Ghanaians, he can give himself a pat on the back because he worked to earn it.

Sarkodie added that he has remained very consistent and not pay heed to the naysayers and negative comments. The reason why he is still in the game for over a decade.
