Ghana Water Ltd restores supply to Ho Municipality

Ghana Water Ltd (GWL) has restored water supply to the Ho Municipality in the Volta Region after weeks of interruption due to the breakdown of all three pumps at the Kpeve Water Abstraction Plant.
In a statement on Monday, February 10, GWL confirmed that the problem had been fixed and water distribution was back to normal.
“GWL sent out its technical teams, who worked day and night to restore operations within the planned 48 hours, following the short-term plan by Managing Director Hon. Adam Mutawakilu. Tanker services were also provided to key institutions as part of the temporary measures.”
To maintain a steady water supply, GWL has purchased two new pumps, which are expected to arrive by the end of March as part of a medium-term solution.
Ghana Water Ltd (GWL) has pledged to support the government’s Water for All plan by working to close the gap between water demand and supply.
“As part of this vision to ensure everyone has access to safe and reliable water, we’ve begun implementing long-term solutions. One key step is expanding the Kpeve Water Treatment Plant to increase capacity and guarantee sustainable water for Ho and nearby communities,” GWL said.
The company promised to keep improving water services and thanked the public and stakeholders for their patience and support.
